This is the second viewbook I’ve designed for the James Madison University College of Business (CoB). The annual, 16-page publication is used by several offices around campus, including University Admissions, the CoB Office of Undergraduate Programs, and the CoB Office of Professional Development and Engagement. The challenge was to design content for multiple audiences – including prospective students, parents, donors, and employers – within university brand standards while tailoring the look for the CoB sub-brand. The sampling of spreads demonstrates my ability to handle complex type treatment, skillful use of photography, as well as balanced integration of infographic elements.
My mastery of the university branding elements garnered this praise from the Art Director of Enrollment Marketing, “This is just such a nice piece, Darin. It’s so crazy on brand. I don’t think anyone outside of our group has ever done a piece so close to what we strive for. Thanks to you all for paying attention!”
